$10 per 20kg bag layer ration

Hi guys, I have been doing some work on trying to get a cheaper layer pellet available to poultry keepers. The problem as I see it is that the cost of layer pellets (the cheapest chook feed available) is about $13.50 for a 20kg bag. Once this is fed to the chooks, the cost of the feed results in the eggs being worth about $2.50 per dozen, which is the same as what you can buy eggs in the supermarket. If people want to save money through growing their own food, they need to find a cheaper feed source for their poultry. I am really excited to be in the process of developing Armidale poultry blog's own branded layer ration which I am willing to offer for just $10 per 20kg bag, which would allow poultry keepers to actually produce eggs at cheaper than what they can buy them in a store. I am hoping to have this one available sometime in November. However, in order for it to be worth me doing, I need to see if people would be interested in such a product. 12 month old isa brown hens for sale

The chook sale is ending

As some of you may have seen in the express extra newspaper, Sunday the 15 of August will be the last Amitage and Buckley bi monthly chook sale. However many of us would like to continue to keep poultry and it is useful to be able to contact fellow poultry keepers for the purpose of buying and selling poultry.
